A Prep Guide is a valuable study tool for candidates of a licensure or certification examination. It helps candidates to review and integrate the concepts they have learned and helps them assess their skills in applying that knowledge. The test instructions, test-taking strategies, question rationales and sample answer sheets can be used to enhance candidates’ readiness to write the examination.
An effective Prep Guide should include a practice test which conforms to the blueprint of the examination and an answer key which includes rationales and references. Optionally, a CD-ROM version of the practice test can be included as part of the Prep Guide.
